I’m writing this at a café in Miyashita Park in Shibuya.
There is a park above the buildings, and from there you can see the city.
It’s night now.
The view feels very urban, but also a little magical.
This café is one of my favorite places in Tokyo.
I come here alone to work, study, or sometimes just sit and do nothing.
I have lived in Tokyo for a long time.
But somehow, I still don’t have many places that really feel special to me.
There are some.
The Sumida River.
The waterfront.
Ueno Park.
Shinjuku Gyoen.
When I lived in New York, I also loved the bright, sunlit space of the World Financial Center.
Maybe I like places where nature and the city come together.
I want to find more places like that.

Maybe I can create one someday.
And maybe, if I get the chance, I really can.
That is what I’m thinking about tonight.
But first, I should finish the work in front of me.
